What the heck do horse racing and raves have to do with each other? Seemingly nothing, unless you head to Laurel, Maryland, where the Laurel Park Race Track brings some of the biggest names in dance music for a full-day of food, fun and heavy beats. Last year, the park’s first-annual Clubhouse Festival indluded sets from Steve Aoki, Tyga, Sam Feld and more, and this year’s triumphant return is even heavier with the DJ heroes.
This year’s Clubhouse Festival will feature a headline performance from Rezz, who just dropped her metal-meets-industrial stomp madness EP Beyond the Senses. French favorite Madeon will be there to bring his forthcoming psychedelic dance-pop LP All My Friends to life. Two Friends will come packin’ feel-good summer jams for your sing-along moment, Elephante will be there just before kicking off his Diamond Days tour, and there is still more to come.
“We’re excited to bring Clubhouse Festival back for the second year as part of the Maryland Million Day,” says Jimmy Vargas in a press release, Executive Vice President of Entertainment for The Stronach Group. “Building on the success of last year, Clubhouse Fest is back to combine world-class racing with an elevated entertainment experience.”
Yes, you can place your bets while you rave, but you can also eat your fill at the Food Village, get your legal-age drink on at the bars and concessions, and if you get a bit too thirsty, the party has free water stations.
Clubhouse Festival comes to the Laurel Park Race Track Saturday, Oct. 19. Tickets are on sale now. Check the full phase 1 lineup below.
